you get out of it what you put into it

I was posed with quite a dilemma tonight.  Do I go for my  normal Tuesday run on the dreaded treadmill with Amy at my side?  Or, do we go over to IHOP and enjoy the National Pancake Day festivities and get ourselves a free stack and gossip?  I, being the dedicated runner than I am, of course chose what any broke college student would choose... Free food!  Needless to say, I am quite happy with my decision.  Amy and I had a great time.

Just fought the masses, waited 45 minutes for a table, and saw a fight break out all for free pancakes.  Thank you IHOP!!! 

I'm on a girls getaway this weekend.  I hope to get in a few miles while here.  I ran around a lovely little river today.  TONS of fisherman out... I mean tons for a Thursday afternoon at 3pm; do these people not work??  Apparently it is fishing season for some specific fish in North Alabama.  Bass maybe?  40* out; perfect for shorts and a long tech shirt.  I passed these 3 men on a small, pedestrian bridge that made me a bit nervous...  One of them told me I was pretty (yes, I'm serious) which made me even more nervous.  No harm done though.  Also, I saw more squirrels on this run then I have ever seen in my life.  They were running out in front of me and everything... what's up with the squirrels and the fishermen?

And, obviously this is a very scattered post.... just what was running through my mind.  

Still on my girls trip... Went to the same place to run today - did the loop 3 times.  Once again, saw a ton of squirrels and fisherman.  I had to pee sooooo bad that I went in the only somewhat hidden location I could find... in a briar patch.  Yes, that was FUN!  Weather was perfect, absolutely perfect.  This was the first time I've run sans gloves and ear warmers in months and it was wonderful.  It was 50* out....  Hello spring!!   

Today, I went shopping at the ultimate redneck hangout.  This place is interesting.  They actually have some pretty cool stuff.  I bought 2 dresses, a shirt, and a coat; all brand name and I only spent $50... makes for a happy KP!   

Back to my girls now.  I think we'll have margarita's for dinner.  Tasty...
