We were planning to run 6ish miles of the Monte Sano 15k course tonight. We parked in the state park and headed out. One of the girls that I run with left her kids on the playground with her hubby watching them. Well, the park ranger came and told him that he was locking the parking lot gate in 30 minutes and if we weren't back, too bad. So, we obviously came nowhere close to finishing our run. Fritz came and found us in his car and we all headed back to the parking lot, taking a shorter route. When we got there, the ranger was sitting in his truck with the lights flashing waiting on us. SERIOUSLY?!?! What a *dirty word*.

In all honesty, I was dragging anyways. So, I was okay with calling it quits.

My feet have been completely numb on my last several runs; so irritating.

What a numb nuts! Sorry you got kicked out of your run, but sometimes we can be grateful for small miracles :)

With the numb feet, I've heard the best way to help is to do the 'runners' lacing on your shoes. Where you basically skip the holes on the bottom 1/3 of the lacing? Let me see if I can find a link..

This is the best one I could find:

I think after your trip to DC, your heart grew 5 sizes bigger, and your feet don't know how to keep up, so they go numb.

But I'm not a doctor, I just play one on tv.

Park Ranger Slick Rick needs to be reminded that without people like you coming to use his park, he'd be out of a job. Maybe he was just in a hurry because he had an online date with a grizzly bear he was late for.

3.55 is a good run anyday.

Dumb ranger. Be careful with you foot though.

I kind of envy that numb foot, but not the numb-nuts-ranger. I bet loosening up the laces will help a lot! I had that issue before and now I wear my shoes loose enough to slip on and off without untying them.

I think that new foot massager is going to come in handy.
