Very slow run with my girls on the trails of Monte Sano.  Absolutely gorgeous day.  I think (and hope) that Spring is finally here.  I'm sure we'll have a few more cold days, but I'm ready for the pleasant temps that Alabama is accustom to for this time of year.

This is the first time I've ran trails since hurting my IT band (like 2 months) and it was much more painful than the road (I'm pretty much pain-free on the road now...).  I guess it is the constant up and down and steep hills and jumping over rocks, etc.  My right knee was hurting pretty badly and then I twisted my right ankle which caused an interesting limping situation.  I was trying to put more weight on my left leg which somehow caused me to rub a blister onto the ball of my left foot even though I was wearing smartwools.  Darn.  Oh well... I still had an excellent morning and an excellent run with my friends.  In 3 weeks we'll be doubling this distance and running McKay Hollow; should be fun (and slow and painful)!  As usual, we went to Starbucks after our run.  I then came home and took an absolutely wonderful nap.  Lovely.  Now:  Homework (booooooo...) and, later: yoga!

Hope y'all are having a nice weekend!
