Couldn't sleep.  After staring at the ceiling for quite some time, I decided to go for a run at about 6:45AM.  Perfect out; chilly and a nice breeze with a slight drizzle.  I shed my jacket quickly.

First run with my new baby.  I'm a mama now :)

Sadie is a perfect 3ish year old German Sheppard.  I think she'll make a splendid running partner.  Today went quite well.  She didn't stop to smell 8 million things and really ran right next to me the whole time.  I was quite pleased.  Hopefully I didn't kill her on day 1!  We took it easy, running about a 10:30 pace.  She now has a pretty pink collar and leash that I know that she loves.

Burt, no comments about her big ears.  I think they are beautiful!

You will LOVE running with a dog! I got out of the habit with Lucy our first winter together, but before that she had even done upwards of 13 miles with me and LOVED it! Dogs are great running partners and you got her at the right age. Enough energy to be a good running partner, but old enough to not chew your shoes!

What a cutie!! I think her ears are perfectly sized - although I still think she needs a cute little pink jacket.
