10 HOURS OF SLEEP!   Hallelujah!  I tend to sleep.... ummmm... not much at all.  5 hours is really good for me.  I've been trying to do better lately, but I still don't sleep much.  I just stare at the ceiling.  Being un-motivated to work on school work for finals week and not allowing myself to go out due to finals deadlines meant that I got in the bed early.  Since I ran 6 last night I slept in too and skipped my 6AM running group.  It was oh-so-lovely.

(note:  I used to complain about my 7AM running group on Saturday mornings.  It is now moved to 6AM for the hot summer months to avoid some of the heat.  Oh my.  Dear 7AM, I miss you...)

Basically, a crappy run.  I was very unmotivated.  I cut it short because I was running a little late for a Waffle House date with my wonderful mother.  I think we can all agree on which is more important on the running vs. Waffle House debate.  Duh, it is obviously Waffle House.  Wise choice, KP.  It was delicious.  I'm pretty sure I consumed about 1500 more calories than I had just burned running.

You are my HERO!! I admire anyone who can value the Awful Waffle over a run. You got both in...awesome!

I don't know about waffles, but moms are definitely important. Can you please tell my kids that?

oh carolyn... i value my mother VERY much. she is my best friend and we are extremely close. we had our somewhat rough teenage years, but we have always been annoyingly close. your kids will grow out of it and will learn to appreciate you. although she and i have always been close, i never really appreciated all she did until recent years. it astonishes me the sacrifices that all parents make when i think about it at this point in my life. thus, no kiddies for quite a while. for now, i'm selfish. i still like being spoiled by her toooooooo much. if i had my own monster to deal with, she would forget all about me! ;)

mmmm...awful waffle! I tried to run with QP once after eating there...running first is definitely a good choice :)

Glad you got some sleep in! VERY well rounded today, sleep, run, eat, mom - what more could you ask for in a day before noon?!?

Sleep is a beautiful thing! It can be more important than food. Glad ya had a date w/ your mom. I love it when my kids tell me I'm the best mom! I ignore them when they tell me I'm the meanest mom!

I haven't been to a WH since I lived in Atlanta. Mmmmm....that was always our late night place to go to get grub.
