Trails.

Temps cooled off a bit as it seemed like a storm was going to roll in.  Unfortunately, it never hit.  It would've felt so good.  I love running in the rain!  Pushed the pace a little more than normal on this run.  I enjoyed it.

Went swimming after my run.  Swimming is HARD!  I did 400m in 10:38 and somehow managed not to drown.  I'm trying to learn how to do a one and a half off the diving board.  I bet I flipped off that thing no less than 132,945 times last night and never got it.  Argh.  I was getting there until I landed flat on my face.  Then I was scared to fully rotate more after that because my head was throbbing so much.  Good times!  I'll get it one of these days...

Hope y'all have a great week!

diving board diva- you'll get it. it's like that silly snowglobe thing you work on day after day. Only I doubt the snowglobe hits back like the water does.

great trail runs. I ran through a sprinkler today on my run. not the same as the rain, but boy did it feel good!

I like running in a warm rain too--as long as there is no lightning trying to kill me. I'm too scared to dive--I envision my neck breaking as I hit the water at the wrong angle. I used to when I was a kid but now I'm doing good to venture away from the shallow end of a pool!

I can't even do a regular dive, let alone the fancy stuff you're talking about.

Wow - a new fancy tri! Run, swim - dive! :) I always hated the diving board, because I KNEW I would hit my head on the board and drown!

I know you ride your bike too. Are you being lured over to the tri side? Good trail miles.

A one and a half... that's sweet. You'll dial it in. As for Mt. Dew and Bratwurst... excellent diet choice!!

I would love to do a TRI one day, but swimming is my weakest link for sure! HARD. Hope you're having a great week.

Diving is so cool! I admire you for attempting those complicated dives. My son dived (?), and I never tired of watching him at practice.

You are right, swimming is hard! I will feel accomplished if I can manage a few laps without feeling out of breath! But, like you, I haven't drowned yet, so I must be doing OK.

Did the storm ever roll in?????

Swimming is hard! I only do the back stroke because I don't like water in my nose. I definitely can't dive!

kelli, it never rained! which, when i got to the pool i was quite thankful for!

some of the lifeguards at the pool (like high school/college kids) do some AMAZING flips off the diving boards. i could seriously sit in the water and watch them all day... which i have been known to do! they aren't bad looking either ;) they seriously do like 3 complete rotations in the air and then dive in. i don't even know what that is called. my problem is that i don't jump high enough... something i am trying to work on.

Sounds fun! I just sit on the edge of the pool and put my toes in, no diving for me.
