Half training has officially started!  Well, for me anyways.  It officially starts today (on Tuesday), but I have my last final (stats II) tonight, and will not be able to make our first run.  Therefore, I got in my 4 by myself.

Nothing too interesting other than I was running in the pouring down rain (and it felt great) and this creepy old man pulled up next to me in his truck and asked if I needed a ride.  NO THANK YOU!  I kindly told him that I was enjoying the rain and kept on moving.  Eeek.

I want to share with y'all a little funny that was a local story from my hometown.  It has made national news because... well, just watch.  It really is a serious and sad situation, but Antoine is so funny!

(Okay, I can't get the video in my entry, so follow the link)

Then they made a song out of it.  I can't get this out of my head:

Link to this one.

Laugh y'all.  It's funny!

Me neither.

That guy does sound creepy. Maybe he was just trying to be nice, but you never know.

how do i post videos?!?! y'all have got to see these!

From Burt on Tue, Aug 10, 2010 at 13:52:45 from 206.19.214.144

It's kind of tricky. Use Firefox. Watch your video. When it's done, there should pop up a box that says 'EMBED'. Copy this link and paste it into the body of your post. Then hit Publish and Edit. That usually works for me.

i don't have firefox. argh....

I take back what I wrote on FB today KP, here is what I was taking about ... creepy guy - check, stereo-typical southern stuff - check (video link:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQDFCaubC7E), water all over my keyboard from my nose - check.

Thank you KP.

Hooray for the final (being over, that is), starting your training program, and running fast to get away from the creepy guy!

From KP on Wed, Aug 11, 2010 at 08:46:31 from 65.208.22.26

From The Quiet Pirate on Wed, Aug 11, 2010 at 12:40:56 from 65.191.108.72

I am amused...very amused. I'd actually seen the news report earlier on tv or web. He really is a character.

Congrats on taking your first step toward official training. Having a plan written down makes it easier to stick with it.

I was supposed to start my marathon training monday too...but I stayed inside and hid from the heat.

Keep up the great work.

YAY! I'm excited for the 1/2 training, you're doing a great job getting it in and not just taking the easy way out by jumping in the first car that offers a ride :) (thank you for NOT!).

SO funny they put it into a song. I'm going to be singing "hide your kids, hide your wife" all day! That guy seriously should get a job on SNL or something :)

I TRIED not to laugh, but it was too funny! He is one heck of a protective brother!!!

Good luck with your training, and yeah for your final being over.

From auntieem on Thu, Aug 12, 2010 at 17:42:21 from 71.197.249.174

It is not just funny, its hysterical! How long before Antione cuts an album do ya' think? Only in America, I guess.

From Kelli on Thu, Aug 12, 2010 at 21:43:47 from 71.219.102.155

My COP husband just watched the video and he was rolling on the floor for the second one. He says it is a very catchy tune. I know what they will be watching at the police academy tomorrow.

From Brent on Thu, Aug 12, 2010 at 23:27:36 from 76.8.201.223

Boo on the creepy truck guy. Be careful out there. That video is hilarious. There is also a piano version that made me lol. My wife was complaining this morning that she couldn't get that song out of her head. She cracks up every time I tell her "hide yo husband too".

From rAtTLeTrAp on Sun, Aug 29, 2010 at 00:10:55 from 76.121.76.165

Homeboy Antoine struck it rich on the remix:
