Easy run for my 13.1 group.  I ran with a friend and we kept a pretty good pace (around 10:00 or so), but then she wanted to stop and walk twice on the last half.  I was in the groove but stopped with her.  She is having a slight emotional crisis right now and her running is suffering.  She is definitely a better runner than me, but I felt like I was pushing the pace with her tonight.  We had a nice chat and even went and got Starbucks and pedicures after we were done.  Those poor people having to touch our nasty feet...

I'm leaving for Vegas this weekend for a week.  I'll be there for a conference.  I packed some running clothes, but I seriously doubt I'll log any miles.  I'm hopeful, but I know we have long hours every day.  We shall see.

Hope y'all have a great weekend!

A work vacation in Vegas...awesome! Have a good time. You'll enjoy the "dry" heat :-)

The great thing about having a running partner is you can take turns being the strong one & pull eachother through the tough times. I think of it as therapy sometimes.

Wyatt says "some weeks, you're my daddy; and sometimes, I'm your daddy."

Enough said.

Vegas is fun running! I know what you mean about having a pedicure - runners really do have sad feet. Glad the 1/2 training is going well!

Woohoo for Vegas. Where are you staying? The only thing that blows is most of the hotels/casinos charge you 20-40 dollars per day to work out in their fitness centers.

I was in Vegas in August for work a few years ago. I tried to run early in the morning and it was nasty hot. It didn't feel like a "dry heat" to me. If I remember right it was mid to upper 80s and muggy at 5am. I hope you have better luck.

Good luck in Vegas (wait, that didn't sound right).

Enjoy the trip! I really wish I was a bit closer to Vegas, I'd totally drive down to see you!!

Whenever I get pedicures done the people look at me funny when I tell them NOT to scrape off all the callouses. I work hard for those things!!

RAD, LOL! I don't care who you are, that's funny.
